How SI Helper works and what we don’t keep

How the SI Helper pilot on the Teachers page answers from Saving Planets pages only, its safety checks and limits, and what it does not keep.

What it is

SI Helper is a pilot on the Teachers page. It helps you find lessons, facts and activities that are already on Saving Planets. SI is our name for artificial intelligence.

How it answers

Your question is matched against an index of this site’s public pages in your language. SI then writes a short answer using only those page excerpts and lists the pages it used. If the site doesn’t cover your question, it says it doesn’t know instead of guessing.

Everything runs on Cloudflare, which already hosts this site’s domain: Workers AI models (gpt-oss-120b for answers, Llama Guard 3 for safety, bge-m3 for multilingual search) and a Vectorize index. No other company receives your question.

Safety checks

Every question and every answer passes a safety filter (Llama Guard 3). Questions containing an email address or phone number are refused before any SI model sees them. An invisible Cloudflare Turnstile check stops automated abuse. Off-topic questions get “I don’t know”.

What we don’t keep

No accounts, no chat history, no cookies from SI Helper. Question and answer text is not stored or logged (Worker logging is switched off). To enforce the limits, the service keeps only today’s counters: a one-way, salted code made from your IP address with a number of questions, plus the day’s total cost. These counters are erased at the end of each day (UTC).

Turnstile is run by Cloudflare and loads only after you click in the question box. Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the service, under its own privacy policy.

Limits and costs

Up to 10 questions a minute and 50 a day per connection, 400 characters per question. A daily spending cap stops SI Helper for the rest of the day if it is reached.

For students and children

This pilot is for teachers and adults. It is not yet offered on the Kids pages. SI can make mistakes: always check the linked page before using an answer in class.
