Editorial & Sources Policy
How we choose solutions, check facts and use SI.
Last updated: October 14, 2026
What We Publish
Every solution on Saving Planets must help both people and nature, be real (running, funded or launched), and have a public source for its key numbers.
How We Source Facts
We prefer primary sources: space and science agencies (NASA, NOAA, ESA, JAXA, ISRO, USGS), peer-reviewed research and the organizations’ own published reports. Each number links to where it came from.
Organization claims are labeled as the organization’s own figures. We do not publish numbers we cannot trace.
Reviews and Dates
Each solution page shows a “Last reviewed” date. A weekly check refreshes mission dates and live counts; pages are re-read when a source changes.
How We Use SI
SI helps us draft, translate and make visuals. A person on our team checks every fact against its source before it goes live. Images and videos made with SI are labeled “Created by SI and Biological SI Partner”. Photos from agencies are credited to them.
Independence
We are not paid to feature any solution. Partner and donate links go straight to the organizations; we take no cut.
