The Short Version

Saving Planets has no accounts, no ads and no ad tracking. We do not sell or share personal information.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 in Consent Mode to learn which pages help people. Analytics cookies stay off until you click Accept on the consent bar. Decline keeps them off.

If you accept, we count actions such as newsletter sign-ups, clicks on partner and donation links, video plays, finished Satellite Explorer builds, opened Kids Map bubbles, generated lesson plans and searches with no results. These events never include your name or email address.

To change your choice, clear this site’s data in your browser settings; the consent bar will appear again.

Newsletter (MailerLite)

If you subscribe to the Weekly Saving Planets Brief, your email address and chosen language are stored by our email provider, MailerLite, only to send the newsletter. You confirm by email first (double opt-in), every issue has an unsubscribe link, and the sign-up form sets no cookies.

Children and Students

Kids pages (Kids Planet Map, Amazing Facts, Satellite Explorer) ask for no personal information and have no chat, comments or uploads. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in line with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

The newsletter is meant for parents, teachers and adults. If you believe a child sent us an email address, write to us and we will delete it.

Teachers using the site in class can leave analytics declined on shared devices. Lesson plans are built in your browser and are not sent to us.

Stored in Your Browser

We save your consent choice, and sometimes small settings such as progress in a learning tool, in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may keep standard server logs such as IP addresses for security. Questions or deletion requests: privacy@savingplanets.com.
