Impact Statement

Corporate solution · active (company figures labeled)

Northrop Grumman says its SpaceLogistics Mission Extension Vehicles are the only spacecraft to extend the life of commercial satellites running low on fuel: two MEVs have docked with three satellites in geosynchronous orbit and provided more than ten years of combined life extension (company figures). Its Mission Robotic Vehicle and three Mission Extension Pods launched in July 2026; the robot will install the pods as "jetpacks" on client satellites. Keeping satellites working longer means fewer replacements and less junk.
